Putt Putt and Top Golf Etiquette

What’s the etiquette at Top Golf or putt putt as somebody who actually golfs on a regular basis. Know your crowd. If you’re the 5th wheel as I was this past weekend (check my previous blog), I personally think it’s go time baby. You’re there for one reason and one reason only and that’s to absolutely bury everybody else. You don’t want anyone to even think they have a chance whether that’s Top Golf or putt putt. I wouldn’t necessarily rub it in if I were you, I personally didn’t get a great response to that from my friends. I would simply dominate and hint at the fact that you’re just destroying their souls.

Now, I had a long thought about this on my way home, and if I had a lady friend with me that would be the point where I would chill out and just have fun. I’d be a little competitive but I wouldn’t get too worried about the outcome. I’m there to win, but if I lose I just say “hey, cmon we’re just having fun!” that way nobody thinks they actually beat me.

I went to play putt putt with a lady friend and it was our first time hanging out together she said “you’re not going to be one of those guys that let’s me win are you” I laughed and laughed and laughed and responded with “if I don’t beat you buy at least 15 strokes, I didn’t really  win”. I did. I destroyed that poor girl. She was cool, but she hasn’t texted me back for some reason. Weird. Anyway, I would advise against being a showboat but maybe just win with dignity. Never let her win.

Anyway basic etiquette is to be cool, have fun, don’t be a try hard but you’re also there win and hopefully dominate. Let everybody know you’re the best damn golfer on the planet. Basically you figure out what works for you and dominate like you would try to do on the golf course.
