If I'm being honest, I don't know how else to describe this other than "clicky" shoulder. I keep getting the red line saying I spelled it wrong, but forget it. You know what I'm talking about. NOW let me clarify in this blog that if you have a sharp sensation of pain, this is not for you. You may want to get that checked out for a potentional SLAP tear or rotator cuff tear. This blog is for those of us who just have this damn clicking feeling that gets trigger with overhead movements.
The only real pain about this is the fact that because of this clicking we tend to fatigue very quickly and suffer from some neck tightness. The good news is this can be a pretty easy fix.
I first noticed my clicking was triggered every time I did overhead shoulder press. I started doing a simple stretch and quickly realized why I had this issue and it went away. I demonstrated the move in a video on Youtube recently. The stretch demonstrated in this video is something you should do BEFORE golfing or performing any overhead movements such as shoulder press. Note that the stretch performed my hands and elbows never left contact with the wall.
